We’re building a team of enthusiastic, culinary-minded individuals who are passionate about food, service, and showing up with integrity. Whether you’re new to events or looking to deepen your experience in the food industry, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of something handcrafted and meaningful.

💼 A Bit About Us

Sunflower Catering is run by a woman chef-owner (that’s me — Chantel!) and built with love, hustle, and high standards. We’re not a big box company with a giant staff list. Every person on a shift matters.

That means:

  • When you take a shift, we’re counting on you.

  • We don’t have “backup” staff on standby.

  • We’re creating unforgettable events — and it only works when we all show up ready to give our best.

If you’re someone who loves food, takes pride in a job well done, and wants to grow in this industry, you’ll fit in beautifully.

💰 Pay & Work Model

  • $20/hour, paid bi-weekly

  • Shifts are flexible: you choose what you commit to

  • All shifts are minimum 4 hours, mostly on weekends

  • Subcontractor or payroll options available (subcontractors must invoice)

  • Profit-sharing opportunities for consistent, standout workers

📱 Shifts & Communication

  • All shifts are posted through our team WhatsApp group

  • You’ll be added once hired, and you can claim shifts as they’re posted

  • Communication is key — we value clear, respectful, and timely replies

🚗 Requirements

  • Must have reliable personal transportation

  • Must be a current resident of Nova Scotia

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

  • Must be someone who understands that event catering requires teamwork, timing, and trust
